What is the SA.RETE?
The SA.RETE is a network of businesses certified SA8000, created for the purpose of promoting the concepts linked to Corporate Social Responsibility. By pooling their know-how and CSR management procedures, associated businesses obtain dual results: on one hand they can measure themselves against businesses that face their every day same problems, while on the other hand they obtain the simplification of some procedures.
What are the objectives of the SA.RETE?
The network of businesses certified SA8000 has several purposes:
The large-scale promotion, as much as possible, of the concepts concerning social responsibility among consumers and businesses;
The sharing of some procedures and some data banks between the network’s associated businesses, which results in the simplification of procedures;
The publication of statistics concerning the businesses of the group, regarding the provision chain features and the markers of the CSR system.
What are the eligibility requirements for the network?
A sole condition is required to be eligible for the SA.RETE network: the SA8000 certification.
How can we join the SA.RETE network?
You can join the SA.RETE network by means of the section “Join Us” of the Website. Register by providing some basic information. A confirmation e-mail message will also indicate your user-id and password, thereby granting access to the reserved area, where you can maintain and update your data.
What is the difference between the “Businesses Registered to the Website” and the “Businesses Belonging to the Network”?
Types of participation in the SA-RETE network:
Basic Level(called Business Registered to the Website)- where the sole commitment required of the business concerns the updating of company data and references. At this level, the business acquires qualified visibility through the publication of its corporate logo and its link in the ‘Businesses’ section of the Website.
Advanced Level (called Businesses Participating in the Network)- requires a greater level of commitment and allows business to take advantage of every tool provided by the network. On one hand the participating business commits to maintaining updated personal data published on the Website, while on the other hand, it can access the data bank of the providers homologated by the other businesses.
Is an entry fee required?
At present the participation in the network is free of charge.
